Matt Wunzin is a seasoned biomedical engineer (biomechanics) with over 15 years of experience in the medical device industry. Known for his hands-on approach and versatility across disciplines, Matt specializes in guiding organizations through the complex landscape of medical device development within highly regulated environments.
Matt's expertise spans the entire product lifecycle, from early-stage feasibility studies and strategic product design to advanced manufacturing introduction and supply chain optimization. A recognized innovator and named inventor on multiple patents, he brings deep technical knowledge in solid modeling, finite element analysis, prototyping, and design verification and validation. While he has a specialty rooted in mechanical engineering, he has a unique skillset is being able to talk the unique languages of electrical, firmware, systems, and software engineering, allowing him to lead very effective development teams to quickly meet project milestones.
As a consultant, Matt partners with organizations at various stages of development—from startups exploring breakthrough concepts to established companies seeking to optimize existing products. Sandip Bhatta is an embedded software engineer with more than 12 years of experience developing firmware solutions for embedded systems across medical, defense, IT, and consumer industries. He has designed and delivered software for FDA-regulated medical devices, IoT-enabled industrial controls, high-performance video and networking systems, and military wearables.
Sandip has developed solutions leveraging embedded Linux, RTOS, and bare-metal frameworks on diverse chipsets, and brings deep knowledge of TCP/IP, BLE, CAN, and HDMI systems. His expertise spans the full spectrum of embedded development—from low-level hardware integration and device drivers to networking protocols and application-layer software. He excels at bridging hardware and software design, optimizing performance in resource-constrained systems.

Ron Hegler is a seasoned electronic design and development engineer with over 20 years of experience in biomedical systems, and 15+ years across the design of instrumentation, industrial controls, aircraft, and IoT electronic devices. Ron specializes in design for EMI/RFI compliance and reliability, low level analog systems, microcontroller based systems and hardware – firmware integration.
Ron has designed products for aircraft, industrial controls, machine vision systems and FDA-cleared devices. He has worked with organizations at every stage of development—from concept and feasibility studies to redesigns driven by component obsolescence or performance enhancements.
Ron's expertise spans the entire product lifecycle, from early-stage concept prototypes to product design to test fixtures for evaluation and production through manufacturing introduction. A named patent inventor and an EDN published article, he brings technical knowledge in schematic capture, PCB design, prototyping, and design verification.
